We’ve all been struggling with this matchmaker for so long now, but I think I’ve cracked it. Each robot has a hidden power value, this is a number dictated by what level your weapons and robot are. If your robots power value goes over a certain amount different for each robot you go up to the next matchmaking tier or end up kind on the edge where you can get put into either, probably based on win streak or ‘pilot of the day’ ranking.

Overall power value for all your robots has no bearing in matchmaking. I’ve tested various robots and weapons, this is what I’ve got so far. Golem and Boa rarely seen. Level 7 maximum for any single weapon on Lvl 1 Lights. Patton although it’s still outclassed by any light robot. No point using the others, their weapons are just too weak.
